Our History

At present, The Bamberg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board administers the following programs: Residential: the Hampton Street and the Zeigler Street CRCF Facilities, and E-CTH I program. The number of consumers served by the Matthews Center and the Residential Programs is now over 181 individuals and families. 

As you can see the Bamberg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board have grown tremendously in a short time. With your help, we intend to keep on growing. 

Our Mission

The Bamberg County Disabilities and Special Needs Board (BCDSNB) is promoting public policies, plans and practices that prevent and reduce the impact of intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, Autism, Spinal Cord and Brain Injuries The Board is empowering and assisting people with intellectual disabilities to exercise their rights to contribute and achieve interdependence and inclusion in the community and society.
